In 2006 I made my first steps in working with ice. Since that day, I enjoy the light moments, the ice carving is giving me in winter times. Working in ice is pure joy. It is like dancing with a medium, which misses every weight. Its translucence inspires me to designs, which would not possible for me in opaque materials. The non durable nature of ice in this case is really part of its quality.
Ice and light belong together. It is an unforgettable experience to watch the sparkling ice-flitters in the winter sun, while moving the chisel through the material.
