Sculpting in stone is challenging. It is different from other materials like for example clay or wax. Working with stone, the sculptor has to bring in each dynamic and movement by his aware doing. Here, he gets confronted with each small inner misbalance. In this respect, stone is a hard teacher. But it is a good tutor. In it lay the roots of my work.

Stone also teaches another view to time and humility. Working on it takes sweat, blood and tears. But in return, each sculpture carries a message in far future times, which I – as a human – will never face.
